Bonn University Hospital is enthusiastic about the capabilities of Philips SmartSpeed Precise in their clinical routine. The power of dual AI, combined in one reconstruction framework, allows them to acquire more beautiful and crisp images, without extending acquisition time. Together with Philips, they’ve worked on several studies using SmartSpeed Precise to enhance the MRI’s capabilities. Watch the video to learn more.
What you can do in your clinical routine, you can acquire even more beautiful images. So if you have your normal acquisition, you can turn SmartSpeed Precise on and you get even more crisp and beautiful images but within the same acquisition time.
In this video, Prof. Dr. Julian Luetkens, physician at the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at University Hospital Bonn, explains how they have successfully used SmartSpeed Precise in several imaging studies. By leveraging two convolutional neural networks, the technology denoises images and upscales resolution, resulting in sharper, more detailed visuals.
He notes that acquiring data in less time also reduces the risk of motion artifacts that can degrade image quality. Additionally, the hospital achieved a significant improvement in efficiency, reducing the examination time for a cardiac MRI from 60 minutes to just 20 minutes.
